If you want to be pampered but don’t really feel like spending on expensive treatments that, let’s admit it, don’t always seem worth it, here are some spa treatments you can try at home!
We promise that these at-home spa treatments are just as relaxing without costing a fortune. All the ingredients you need will be found in your kitchen pantry, so you do not even have to worry about looking for exotic products in stores.
1. Refreshing Foot Mask
Even though we may offer lots of attention to our face and hands, the feet often get neglected. However, they deserve to be pampered every now and then, too, especially if you work out every day or go to work wearing shoes.
For a refreshing foot mask, mix some oatmeal, cornmeal, olive oil, and sea salt in a small bowl. For a mask-like consistency, add a couple of tablespoons of aloe vera gel. To get a spa-like feel, add some drops of peppermint oil. Apply this mask to your feet and gently start scrubbing. Leave it on for a couple of minutes, and then wash it off.
2. Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment
Who said you have to spend all your savings to get luscious Rapunzel-looking locks? You can make your own deep conditioning treatment at home!
All you need to do is mash up an avocado and gently apply it to your hair. Massage it on the lengths of your hair for instant nourishment and moisture. Moreover, if you are looking for a protein treatment, simply whisk up an egg and apply it to the hair. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then shower as per usual.
3. Steam Facial
One of the best ways to remove all the dirt and pollution from your face is to deeply cleanse the pores. Not only does this get rid of all built-up impurities, but it also results in glowing skin in the long run. One of the spa treatments you can try at home is a steam facial. Trust us; it is super easy!
Take a bowl, fill it with boiled water, and let it cool to not burn your skin. Then, add a couple of drops of essential oil based on your skin concern. For example, for acne-prone skin, add tea tree oil; for oily skin, add lavender oil; and for dry skin, add rose absolute oil.
Now, you need to steam your face by covering your head with a towel and leaning over the bowl. The towel helps trap the stream. Once done, you can follow up with a toner and moisturizer. Notice how clean and fresh your skin looks the next day!
