If you want fresh glowing skin then you have to look after your skin. A skincare routine is one of the best ways in which you can do that. It involves certain steps that you have to do every day and it will lead to soft smooth skin that will make you look and feel young and rejuvenated. We have made a guide of what your daily skincare routine should look like so follow it and watch the magical transformation of your skin.
Your daily skincare routine should comprise of 3 simple steps.
- Cleansing
- Toning
- Moisturizing
Cleansing
This means washing your face. It’s as basic as it can get but it’s also super important. This is because there’s so much dirt that accumulates on your face and can block your pores, which may lead to acne and bad skin. Make sure to wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. It’s important that you use the right cleanser for your skin type, so you may want to consult your dermatologist before.
Toning
Toning is one of the best ways to balance your skin’s pH. Even though this step is optional it is great for your skin so you should try not to skip it. What toners do is add nutrients to your skin that you’re not getting from other products. Look for a toner that has ingredients such as salicylic acid as they will calm breakout especially if you have sensitive skin. If your skin is dry using a hydrating toner.
Moisturizing
The third step is moisturizing your skin. Look at this as water for your skin, it’s what will hydrate your skin and make it look young and fresh; therefore you shouldn’t skip this step. It strengthens your skin and gives it the nutrients it needs. The kind of moisturizer that you choose also depends on your skin type so if your skin is dry pick one that’s a little thicker. Moisturizing should be done both at night and in the day but the one that you use for each will be different. Your daytime moisturizer needs to be lighter so that it can be easily soaked into your skin.
Other than these three essential steps there’s more that you need to incorporate in your skincare routine. One such step is applying sunscreen. This is something that you need to do on a daily even if you’re indoors. The sun damages your skin and causes it to age quickly so applying sunscreen will protect your skin from getting wrinkles and ageing.
Another thing that you can add to your skincare routine is Vitamin C serum. Use it during the day; you’ll be surprised at how much it can reverse damage caused to your skin. For better results start when you’re in your 20s.
You now know what your daily skincare routine should look like. It’s easy and will give you effective results so get into the habit of doing it every day.
